Drive girth gear in 2/2 at helical toothing

The girth gear is realized in electrowelded structure annealed and sandblasted according to our standard procedure.

The external ring will be supplied in forged steel 34 CrMo4  EN 10083 quenched and tempered for a hardness of 240-270 HB and tested to ultrasounds

The remaining parts will be supplied in steel S275Jr EN10025

The welding of the external ring is at “full thickness” type in the anchorage area with the central ring. All the welding is controlled at ultrasounds and magnaflux or with penetrant liquids.

The toothing of the girth gear is realized with high-precision hob machine and anyway suitable to ensure a quality 7/8 according to AGMA 2015.
