• Perfectly oil tight casing in electro-welded steel, shaped and ribbed for maximum rigidity. After welding, the casing is subjected to weld stress relieving and then sandblasted and painted.
• Gleason spiral bevel gear.
• Pinions in case-hardened and tempered alloy steel with ground tooth profile.
• Wheels in hardened and tempered steel.
• Slow speed shaft in hardened and tempered steel with conical end.
• Roller bearings.
• “MITCHELL” sections covered on top with antifriction metal to withstand a max. axial thrust of 75,000 kg

Forced-feed lubrication via our unit complete with all the control accessories where all the components listed below are kept on a single containment plate:
– 2 gear motor pumps, one in standby for the other
– 1 water/oil heat exchanger
– 1 duplex filter with electric optical clogging gauges
– 1 flow indicator with adjustable minimum flow
– 1 pressure switch for checking the minimum oil pressure
– 5 PT100 RTD sensors for checking the temperature on the bearings
– Various pressure gauges and dial thermometers for local checking of pressure and temperature
– Relief and one-way valves, pipes, fittings, bellows that compensate for thermal expansion and anything else needed to connect the unit to the reducer

– Weight of reducer = approx. 5,000 kg.
