Speed reducer - Power 2500 kW - Transmission ratio 1:25,033

Special parallel shaft speed reducer 2BC3075 on horizontal plane

The reducer casing, in a sandblasted and annealed electro-welded structure, has been designed to support the internal and external loads derived from transmission of the torque at play.
Any position corrections which improve the contact between the tooth profile of the external gear can be made by intervening on the reducer fastening screws at the base.
To connect the reducer to the wheel and lock nut casing easily, we supply a compensating structure in oil-resistant rubber or similar complete with fastening screws for the two structures. This protection also eliminates the effect of vibrations between the reducer and the protective casing of the mill.
The gears in the reducer are made of case-hardened and tempered steel alloy with tooth profile ground and profile modified to reduce any load concentrations. The gears have “simple helical” teeth and guarantee the transmission of 2500 kW at 890 rpm input speed with an AGMA service factor > 3.

The main specifications for the “simple helical” gearing are:

  • Module: 24
  • Number of teeth: 33
  • Toothed band: 500 mm
  • Pressure angle: 20°
  • Lead angle: 10°
  • Outer diameter: 863 mm

– Together with the reduction of the idler wheel applied to the lock nut, the transmission ratio of the reducer is 1:25.033.
– The bearing assembled in the reducer are calculated for a nominal theoretical service life L10>=100,000 hours at a nominal power of 2500 kW
– The high speed shaft has coupled bearings: 1 with cylindrical rollers – 2 with conical rollers
– The high speed shaft has a double extension for connecting the auxiliary drive.
– The bearing supports have thermocouples for controlling the temperature of the bearings.

Weight = approx. 13,000 kg.
